Whiskey And Silence
04:09
|
|||
Another day stuck inside the walls of my head
And I'm wearing a path running from the demons I know and the ones still in shadow
I couldn't tell you the day it is. They've all started to feel the same
I never knew how terrified I was of silence
I tried my best to scare it off with anything that I could find
But here I am, there's nothing else. And I've got no place left to go
I guess it's time I open up the window to my heart
And let the light illuminate who I am
So silence won't you pull up a chair. And I'll grab the whiskey
We'll raise a glass to who I was and who I have yet to become
And I will leave all my broken pieces there on the table
And you can put them back where they belong
Another day stuck inside the walls of my head
Well, the demons aren't gone, but there claws aren't as long as before
And I'm not where I need to be, but at least I am moving again

Whispers
05:23
|
|||
The floors always creak with the footsteps of people come and gone
The walls seem to speak the secrets of those come before me
And I hear the groaning of a rocking chair. One that I've never owned
Following me, always, the whispers down below:
Come find us. We are here
Come find us. We are near
Laughter echoes through the halls neither taunting nor comforting me
Am I going crazy or is there something beyond what I can see?
Has my loneliness taking over me? Am I even alone at all?
Beckoning as always, the whispers down below:
Come find us. We are here
Come find us. We are near...

Distance Between Us
06:20
|
|||
I never made the time to be with you like I should
Now time is all we have and the doors are closed for good
We took for granted what we had. Were we to know there'd be an end?
No we can but hope for the walls to crumble down
Streets or oceans away might as well be the same
There's a distance between us and time is standing still
There's no landing below us, no bridge between our hills
Won't you take me back, let time stand still
You know I can't make it on my own
Take me back where I can build
A road for you to travel on back home
